General Information
This is the Municipal Court for Andover Township . This Court has
jurisdiction over parking offenses, motor vehicle violations, Township
ordinance offenses, and certain misdemeanor charges.
The Court Administrator is accessible at the Andover Township Municipal
Building either by phone, (973) 383-4280, extension 227; by fax, (973)
383-6328; in person 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday; or by

Fine Amounts
The fine amount depends upon the offense. For information about the
fine amount and other applicable charges, contact the Court Administrator

Court Sessions
Contact the court office to be
scheduled. Adjournments are given in medical emergencies only, and proof
from a doctor is required.
Municipal Court sessions are held at 6:00 p.m. the second and fourth
Thursday of each month at the Andover Township Municipal Building , 134
Newton Sparta Road , in Andover Township .
Upon arrival, please check in with the Court Administrator.

Responsibilities
You must personally appear at all scheduled hearings.
You must immediately advise the Court Administrator of any change in your
mailing address.
You must have your attorney send a Letter of Representation to the Court
Administrator, if you hire an attorney.
You must provide the Court Administrator with the name(s) and address(es)
of your witness(es) at least seven (7) days prior to your hearing date, if
you plan to call witnesses.
Payment of Fines
If a case does not mandate a court appearance, fines may be paid any time
prior to the court date shown on the summons. Fines may be paid in person
at the Andover Township Municipal Building, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
weekdays. Payments can also be mailed to the Andover Township Municipal
Court, 134 Newton Sparta Road, Newton, NJ 07860. Fines are payable by
personal check, money order, cashier’s check, or cash. Traffic ticket
fines can also be paid online at http://www.judiciary.state.nj.us/.
